Hattiesburg New Locally-Owned Businesses

Get your calendars ready! In the next few months, downtown Hattiesburg will see the addition of new locally-owned businesses. They’ll contribute to an already vibrant downtown scene. In addition, they are just minutes away from our Hattiesburg apartments.

Be sure to check out the following Hattiesburg new locally-owned businesses!

Sfuzzi Italian & Greek Kitchen

Sfuzzi Italian and Greek Kitchen has some big shoes to fill as it moves into the vacancy left by the Walnut Circle Grill. Fortunately, the early indications are promising. This restaurant is slated for a February opening.

Its menu will focus on authentic Italian entrees rounded off with some Mediterranean favorites.

What’s more, they offer high-quality food at mid-range prices ($10-$30 per plate) with options for pick-up. Follow the Sfuzzi Italian & Greek Kitchen Facebook Page for updates!

Fivetwentyfive Boutique

Fivetwentyfive is not your typical clothing store. According to their website, this fashion-forward boutique strives to “put women-owned businesses and makers at the forefront of the modern retail experience.”

This boutique has clothing, cosmetics, and stationery. Which are just some of the women-produced products that will be available for purchase (in-store and pick-up) once the store opens its downtown location on April 1st.

Furthermore, Fivetwentyfive offers both membership and partnership programs that provide exclusive access to discounts and other perks.

El Rayo

This Tex-Mex restaurant opened its doors in early January. In addition, they have an honorable mention for its close proximity to downtown Hattiesburg.

Headed by local restaurateur Robert St. John, El Rayo is serving tasty Tex-Mex dishes. Included on their menu are queso dips, tacos, enchiladas, and skillets.

What’s more, the highlight of the menu is their fajitas, which are best paired with 14 day-aged Angus skirt steak. They’re currently open for dine-in or take-out Tuesday through Saturday for dinner only.

Supporting Hattiesburg’s locally-owned businesses has never been easier. While you enjoy these restaurants, you may also want to order a book from a Hattiesburg bookstore or beers from a local brewery!
